“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews 4:16

I don’t know about you, but I have trouble being bold. I’m an introvert, people pleasing, argument avoiding, trouble averting person. Hopefully a few of you can identify with me. Being bold does not come easily! It has taken me a long time to understand certain issues need bold prayers. 

In scripture, Jabez asked God to bless him and expand his territory (I Chronicles 4:10). The father of a deaf and mute son who had seizures was told by Jesus, if he believed Jesus could heal his son, it could be done. The man’s bold prayer was, “Help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24)! 

I see so many examples of bold prayer in scripture and God’s responses to them, I know God honors bold prayers. God’s dreams for us are big. I think it honors God when we think bigger for him. Together, hopefully, we can grow in seeking the best from God through the boldness of our prayers.
